Sunbird Guest House

The first thing you notice upon entering one of the 2 Sunbird Guest Houses, is the light and airy open plan living room with a shared kitchen and dining area.  Lovingly decorated, with local artists work up on the walls it’s spotlessly clean and you immediately feel at home.

Sunbird is located in Harare and comprises two homes which have been converted into comfortable accommodation units, within easy walking distance of each other (+/- 100 metres). Rooms 1-4 are at 23 Moulsham Rd. and Rooms 5-8 are at 3 Moulsham Rd. Visitors are required to sign in at a Security Boom, ensuring you feel safe at all times.

The 2 properties are mirror images of one another comprising:

  • Room 1 – Deluxe double en suite
  • Room 2 – Twin bed or double bed en suite
  • Room 3 – Small double en suite
  • Room 4 – Studio Apartment en suite, with aircon & kitchenette
  • Room 5 – Deluxe double en suite
  • Room 6 – Twin bed or double bed en suite
  • Room 7 – Small double en suite
  • Room 8 – Studio Apartment en suite with aircon & kitchenette

They have shared lounge, kitchen and dining room spaces, with 3 Moulsham having the added bonus of a swimming pool. The property at 23 Moulsham does not have a pool but has a lovely outside gazebo area, with a small beautifully ear catching, manmade stream running along the bottom of the garden.

Both residences have:

  • Free uncapped fibre Wifi;
  • Solar Inverter Power;
  • Generator backup;
  • A-la-carte home cooked meals (orders to be placed before 17:00);
  • Cable TV;
  • Client courtesy bicycles;
  • Room Safes;
  • Laundry upon request;
  • Braai and entertainment area outside;
  • Airport transfers and car with driver by prior arrangement.

There is a small honesty bar but for those wanting a wider range of drinks the shops are only a 5 minute drive away, and there are also a variety of restaurants close by.  Sunbird Guest House is in a lovely location, with the staff ever mindful of your privacy and never intruding.  The manicured lawns, abundant bird-life, and quiet neighbourhood make it hard to believe you are in the capital city of Zimbabwe. Definitely worth a stay: for business or pleasure.
