Pamuzinda Safari Lodge lies adjacent to Chengeta Safari Lodge, in the midst of the same 13,000-acre private game reserve, near the town of Selous. It is approximately 1.5 hours drive from Harare and the Harare International Airport, on tarred roads, with the last few kilometers being on well maintained dirt roads. (GPS (GOOGLE MAPS) -18.126435, 30.371608).
The lodge is built with the entertainment area overlooking a lovely little stream, that is best viewed and enjoyed from the comfort of the beautiful wooden River Deck. Dining can be done on this deck to take maximum advantage of the sunset views from here, while listening to the therapeutic sounds of the river frogs, or, if guests prefer they can dine indoors.
There is a large swimming pool with a shady pool bar near reception. For those who feel the cold, or just like to snuggle up with a good book, there is a delightful big fireplace near the bar area, which provides lovely warmth on chilly evenings. The grounds of the lodge are well watered and lush, providing easy and open access between the lodges, with abundant bird life drawn to the indigenous trees.
