If you are looking for an intimate and exclusive holiday in beautiful Zimbabwe, then you need look no further than Musango Safari Camp, which is perfectly situated on a private national parks island on the shores of Matusadona National Park on Lake Kariba. This secluded camp only sleeps 16 people, is privately run and managed by the owners (Steve and Wendy), which ensures a very personal and attentive stay.
Sticking with the personal vibe, Musango offers a wide variety of activities, which are informal and operated by trained and experienced guides. Steve is often found taking guests for activities himself, with 18 years’ experience in the Department of National Parks and Wild Life Management, he sure knows his stuff. As a fanatical bird-watcher and photographer Steve, is extremely observant, and it was this keen observation that led him to the discovery of a dinosaur fossil site in the Matusadona National Park a few years ago.
There is a small museum and curio shop at the camp where Steve keeps the dinosaur fossils, Batonka artefacts, Stone Age tools and other interesting items he has found over the years, among them an actual dinosaur egg! Wendy stocks the curio side of the shop with a few basic essentials, bush clothing and curios.
Some of the activities offered at Musango Safari Camp include:
- Game viewing walks
