Kingfisher lodge(s), which was formerly Lambs Lair, is located in Charara, Kariba and overlooks Paterson Bay. Kingfisher is made up for 3 separate self-catering lodges next to one another which have recently been completely renovated to a high standard. They now have FILTERED BOREHOLE water which is supplied directly to all the lodges. Electricity is supplied from the national grid, but in emergencies there is a 30 KVA generator. The lodges all have a fully kitted out kitchen with water coolers, gas and electric stoves, 2 fridges and 2 freezers. There is also a cook who can assist with your meals if you require. Hot water is provided by solar and electric geysers. Each lodge has a SAFE to lock up personal effects and a gorgeous swimming pool and outside seating area in which to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The lodges are made up as below:
Lodge 1 – Sleeps 4 PAX
Ideal for a small family (2 adults and 2 children) which has a large bedroom with double bed, mosquito net and air conditioner with an en-suite shower and toilet. The smaller bedroom has 2 single beds with mosquito nets and air conditioner. There is a separate shower and toilet to serve the smaller bedroom.
Lodge 2 and Lodge 3 – Each Sleeping 8 PAX
For larger families these 2 lodges have 2 double bedrooms with double beds in each and 2 smaller bedrooms with 2 single beds in each, all having mosquito nets and air conditioners. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower and toilet. There are also 2 separate shower and toilets to serve the other bedrooms.
The property has a security fence surrounding it for the guest’s protection against wandering wildlife, but the hippos regularly break this, so please still be vigilant.
