Zambuka

“Zambuka” is a recently upgraded, nice and spacious houseboat that has 4 enclosed, fully air-conditioned cabins (the aircon can run throughout the night). All of the cabins can be made up in either double or twin bed format, and all have sliding glass doors that open on to the lake. The cabins have mosquito nets with teak dressing table/cupboard. There are an extra 4 mattresses for those wanting to sleep upstairs on the upper deck. There is a separate shower and toilet with hand basins on the upper deck for those guests not sleeping in one of the cabins.

There is a covered bar and dining area on the upper deck, with large fans to provide a nice breeze across this area. Also located on the upper deck is a splash pool and sun loungers and there are child safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs.

Zambuka is fully solar with an inverter lighting system and gas geysers, making the boat extremely energy efficient and silent. The generator is a 9 KVA Kohler silent marine generator, which is run from 18:00 to 22:00hrs when the switch is made over to the inverter, which runs the aircons from 22:00 to 06:00 the next morning.

There is a fully equipped kitchen on board that uses gas and electricity. A mini ice maker is on hand for ice cubes for drinks. A charcoal braai is also available for those wanting to use this facility (please bring your own charcoal).
