Ndabiri

Ndabiri is a family owned and run complex consisting of four self-catering thatched chalets, situated on Msuna Fishing Island Resort, overlooking Zambia and the Zambezi River. Ndabiri faces north/northwest on the “island,” with gorgeous green lawns and big shady trees, and has the most breath-taking sunsets.

The thatched chalets are all detached, self-catering units which are open-plan with fully equipped kitchenettes and all overlook the Zambezi River. There are two 1 bedroom chalets and two 2 bedroom chalets, which have air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout, and each bedroom has en- suite shower facilities. The chalets are serviced daily by friendly staff, who are also there to assist with basic cooking needs and making of fires when required. A laundry service is available at an extra cost per load, which includes ironing and folding.

There is a lovely braai pit and bar area/lapa with a small sparkling pool, which overlooks the Zambezi and is shared amongst the chalets within the Ndabiri complex. This is a great place to just relax during the day, if not out fishing, or to watch the abundant bird life. The lapa does have a TV with the sports channels, for those who enjoy watching their sport. There is also a limited WiFi Hotspot here from 6- 8am, 12-2pm and 6-8pm.

Ndabiri have a pontoon raft, with a 4-stroke engine, for hire. The boat hire includes a compulsory skipper. Fuel will be supplied with the boat, but must be replaced at the cost to the Client, payable at the Msuna Office, on completion of the boat hire. A skipper for private boats can also be arranged at a minimal daily rate.

In the evening you can enjoy an amazing sunset cruise on the river or you can just sit back and enjoy sundowners at the bar area, in the pool or around a lovely mopane fire. The mopane firewood is available from the Msuna office and can be arranged by the staff at a small extra cost per wheelbarrow load.

One of the main attractions at Ndabiri is the absolute peace and tranquillity of the surroundings, with the amazing views of the Zambezi River and the Zambian hills in the background, as well as the fishing of course! Definitely a “must do” for fishermen and families.
